    Google video sitemap is supported for wide range of file types including .asf, .avi, .flv, .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .mov, .ra, .ram, .rm, and .wmv. However, it is important that the video files do not include any streaming media and that they are available through HTTP directly.

    You can submit your Google Video Sitemap through Google webmaster tools. You need to choose the Add sitemap option and choose the appropriate type of sitemap that you are loading. Adding your Google video sitemap is a very simple process yet many webmasters do not add this video sitemap either because they are not aware of Google video sitemap or because they are not aware of the importance of adding this sitemap to get your video files indexed properly.

    When you add Google video sitemap, you will be able to get your videos listed in Google video searches. So if you have not already submitted your Google video sitemap, it is high time that you submitted your sitemap and give your website the visibility that they deserve.
    When you do submit your video sitemap make sure that you create relevant title for your videos and suitable description. This will help Google understand the content of your video. By making your description keyword rich, you will be able to get listed for the right keywords and send targeted traffic to your online videos. Given the benefits of submitting Google video sitemaps, it is worth taking the time and effort to create your Google video sitemaps. Remember that your video sitemap should be submitted in addition to the regular Google sitemap and it does not replace your regular Google sitemap.
