An online trading company's website that offers tips, tricks & helps customers to purchase stocks at right time and sell at best time was hit by Google penalty for link farming and other spamming issues. Approach :
The company had assigned the SEO job to a third party which failed to follow the standards. Through over optimization and link creation through automation processes, Google noticed the suspicious behavior. Hence the website was blocked by Google from search results. Solution
We implemented best possible steps to resolve the issues faced by the website. These were the time tested and standard procedures so that there will not be any issues.
- We had audited the website and identified the links pointing to the site. After going through the Analysis tools, we checked each and every link.
- The links that were generated with popular, relevant and high page ranking websites were kept. Other links which did not generate in a progressive way were deleted.
- We used the Google Webmaster Tool and checked all the links Google had detected from various sources and identified the irrelevant back-links.
- The poor quality links were removed by implementing the manual and semi-automatic link removal tactics.
- We compiled a disavow report for Google. The report disassociated the site from poor quality and damaging back-links.
- After completing the above steps, a formal request was made to Google to reconsider the manual spam action taken against the site.
