Call to action titles encourage buyers to take the plunge, while descriptive and informative titles reel in the window shoppers.

    If your web page titles are blah and boring, you need to make them click able! Check your titles and see if they are descriptive (your visitor shouldn’t get a nasty surprise when they click, so make sure you describe your page accurately.     Add a call to action and a side order of benefits or features to your title. Start with the most important information, and work your way down, so if the search engine shortens your title the pertinent info is still visible.

    If you aren’t a major brand, don’t bother wasting character count space including your company name. They’ll see it when they arrive at your site. Most of all, don’t use the same title for every single page – this kills your chances of customizing to demographic!

    People judge search results by the titles that pop up.. If you want to get as many visitors as possible, you should spend time developing the best possible title for each individual page.
